Member of the Board of Trustees
Born in 1984 in Istanbul, Abdullah Eren hails from the Western Thrace Turks. He holds a BA in Sociology from Boğaziçi University and an MA in Diplomatic Studies from the University of London-Westminster.
Eren has been active in both political and academic spheres. He served as the Deputy Provincial Vice President for Foreign Affairs of the AK Party Istanbul Youth Branch and worked as a Researcher at the SETA Istanbul Office. In the public sector, Eren worked as Deputy Chief of Staff and Advisor to the Prime Minister before becoming the Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic. On October 27, 2018, he was appointed President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities by presidential decree.
Eren is also deeply engaged in civil society activities, particularly with organizations focused on the Balkans. He has a keen interest in traditional Turkish sports, speaks English fluently, and is married with two children.
