He was born in 1984 in Istanbul. He is originally from Western Thrace Turks. He holds a BA in Sociology from Boğaziçi University and an MA in Diplomatic Studies from the University of London-Westminster. Eren, who has been involved in political and academic activities, served as the Deputy Provincial Vice President for Foreign Affairs of the Ak Parti Istanbul Youth Branch and worked as a Researcher at SETA Istanbul Office. After working as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister and Advisor to the Prime Minister in the public sector, Abdullah Eren served as Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic. On October 27, 2018, with the Presidential Decree dated October 27, 2018, he was appointed as the President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities. Eren, who is closely interested in civil society activities, has assumed active roles in many non-governmental organizations working on the Balkans. Abdullah Eren, who is also interested in traditional Turkish sports, speaks English fluently, is married and has 2 children.
